Because of the large group of the people are using social media application, there is a potential business opportunity for the company to increase its brand awareness and cognition.

In order to achieve this goal, choosing the best period of time posting blogs through social media is important. Facebook is the most populated platform with more than 2 billion active users (Arens, 2019). The picture below shows the research of ‘best times to post on Facebook for consumer goods’ by finding the most popular consumer engaging time. The finding demonstrates that:
- The best times to post on Facebook are 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Wednesday
- The safest time period is between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Two period of times has the least amount of engagement- before 7:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m.

Marketers should do more research on people’s most active time while using social media especially on detailed age, gender, preferences or even different purchasing power groups. Those results will help marketers to target the most suitable market segment groups and make the best profits.

Great read. I usually post on Instagram at night because in my mind I think more people are online scrolling whilst watching TV or studying. But really, morning would be extremely effective as one of the first things people do when they wake up is check social media!

Yeah! I do agree with you! The first thing that most people would do after waking up is to check their phones. So marketers can send some new product series’ information or the latest campaign in the morning would be a good idea : )

Good post. You provide an insight about the best time to catch users attention, but i think this is only for Facebook, what about other apps such as Instagram, Twitter?
